Romney Visits Oyster Bay Thursday

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign will be stopping near Syosset Thursday night for two fundraisers. The former Massachusetts governor will stop in Muttontown and Old Brookville for a reception and dinner before moving on to Ohio.

Romney will travel to Old Brookville for the first fundraiser, held at the home of Elizabeth and Lee Ainslie at 5 p.m. The Ainslies, though not affiliated with any party, are active in North Shore open-space preservation, said Newsday Thursday.

TOBAY Councilman Chris Coschignano is reported to be a cochair of the event, along with Nassau Republican Chairman Joseph Mondello, author Nelson DeMille, and several other prominent current and former Republican officials.

Tickets to the Ainslies' general reception are $2,500, while each photo session with Romney will cost $10,000 per photo, said the report.

Afterward, Romney will dine at the home of Republicans Jodi and Robery Rosenthal in Muttontown. Robert Rosenthal is the former owner of the Islanders hockey club and currently runs an investment banking firm.

Photo receptions and dinner at the Rosenthals' will cost $25,000 per couple, with "VIP" tickets hitting $50,000 per couple, reported Newsday.

According to the report, contributions will only be deposited into the accounts of Romney for President, Inc., the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

According to Politico.com, he will travel to Ohio Friday for a rally at Lake Erie College.
