I am always amazed at the amount of people that are so cheap that they refuse to buy a snow blower year after year , snowstorm after snowstorm.. (except those who can not afford one ).My driveway is all clear as well as the my elderly neighbor's walkway . As I watch my neighbors with their shovels i think Today is the day they should think about the cost of a snowblower and the price they pay for being cheap

Not everyone is "too cheap." I have a snowblower, but find that my sloping driveway and walkways makes it more trouble than it's worth to use it.

Perhaps your neighbors are doing what they prefer. And if they are elderly, or can't afford it, maybe you could offer to do their walk. I do my elderly neighbor's.

I try to do the right thing in life. If you have something that can help a neighbor or friend, Why not help them? What comes around goes around. And if doesn't go around, so what, you know in your heart that you did something good. Be at peace with thyself.
