Update: TOBAY Announces Closures for Monday

Several parks and beaches will be closed.

The Town of Oyster Bay has announced several closures for Monday in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

The Oyster Bay Community Center, all Town beaches, including all facilities at TOBAY Beach (this includes all restaurants, mini golf course and spray park), are closed. Swimming is strictly prohibited.

Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay and Plainview Old-Bethpage Community Park are closed.

The Town said that all other facilities are expected to operate on a normal schedule. Sanitation and S.O.R.T. recycling collection are also on normal schedule. Check the Town website for updates.

*Throughout the duration of Hurricane Irene cleanup operations, all calls to Town of Oyster Bay government offices, including the Supervisor’s Office, should be directed to the Town’s 24-hour Emergency Operations Center, at 516-677-5757.
