Town Pools to Open June 23

Oyster Bay Town community park pools will officially open for the 2012 summer season on Saturday, June 23.

From June 23 thru June 29, pools will be open from noon to 6 p.m. From Saturday, June 30, through Sunday, Aug. 26, the pools will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. From Monday, August 27, through Sunday, Sept. 2, pools will be open from noon to 8 p.m.

On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3, the hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tappen Pool will also open for the season June 23, Mondays-Saturdays from 9 a.m. until dusk, and Sundays, 11 a.m. to dusk, though with some exceptions to accommodate the North Shore swim program. The final day of the Tappen pool season will be Labor Day.

Registration is  underway at all community pools daily, noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and holidays, and noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Starting July 2, registration will be conducted daily during operating hours.

Registration at Tappen is held daily, noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and holidays, and noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

After July 4, registration at Tappen Pool will be conducted during regular pool hours. Residents coming to register must bring proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, tax or utility bill that has their name and address, showing that they are a town resident.

Non-Oyster Bay Town residents can obtain a season membership at Tappen pool only.
