Jackson Avenue Community Garden: Renovations Begin

Members of the Town of Oyster Bay Department of Public Works cleared the debris from the Jackson Avenue Community Garden.

The Jackson Avenue Community Garden, across from , was severely damaged during the construction to the avenue during the past year. This morning, a crew from the , under the direction of Dan Midgette, highway engineer from TOBAY DPW, began the clean-up of the debris left from the construction and the removal of dead bushes and trees. The Town will then roto-till the area, grade it, and lay down mulch to prepare the area for the new trees, bushes and flowers.

The RESIDENTS for a more beautiful Syosset wish to express their thanks to the Department of Public Works Commissioner Richie Betz and Dan Midgette for their assistance in helping to make Syosset a little more beautiful.

The Jackson Avenue Community Garden was planted and has been maintained by the RESIDENTS for a more beautiful Syosset, a non-for-profit organization, for the past 12 years.
