Jackson Avenue Community Garden: Renovations Continue
The Jackson Avenue Community Garden underwent its second day of transformation as Crew 23 from the TOBAY Department of Public Works continued its work.

After removing the debris from the garden on Monday, Crew 23 continued the renovation work on Tuesday morning. They roto-tilled the entire 320 foot area, raked the garden, leveled it out, and then put down a thick layer of mulch. The next step will be the planting of new bushes, shrubs, flowers and trees.
The RESIDENTS for a More Beautiful Syosset planted and have maintained this garden for the past 12 years. The non-for-profit organization also maintains the Memorial Garden on the corner of Underhill Boulevard and Jackson Avenue and the gardens at the . It is the goal of this organization "to make Syosset a little more beautiful."
