Jackson Avenue Improvement Project Update – Week 14

Construction continues on Jackson Avenue this week along the east side of the avenue.

This week saw the continuation of the paving of sidewalks, curbs and driveway aprons on the east side of the avenue, starting at Hillside Lane South and ending near

From Hillside Lane North to Teibrook Avenue, old sidewalks were ripped up and the forms for the new curb were installed.

Stanchions for the new traffic light were installed on the corner of the mall.

Old trees that were located across the street from the Citgo Station (Walters Avenue) were taken down in preparation for the installation of new curbs and sidewalks. This section of Jackson Avenue never had curbs or sidewalks.
