Jackson Avenue Improvement Project – Week 16

Hurricane Irene did not impede the construction crews' work on the Jackson Avenue Improvement Project.

This week was an active one for the construction crews as they worked on the avenue. Cement was laid for a new sidewalk byand Cousins Pizzeria, adjacent to the by Railroad Avenue.

The white fence in front of was replaced, and blacktop was put down to repair the entrances to the property.

On the east side of the avenue, a new curb now extends to Lex Realty on the corner of Ira Road, and a new sidewalk was laid from Hillside Lane North to the sump at the corner of Teibrook Avenue. Crews also worked on the entrance to Pine Road.
