Jackson Avenue Improvement Project – Week Ten
Jackson Avenue Improvement Project continues, despite the record breaking weather last week.
Despite the unusually hot weather last week, the construction crews concentrated their efforts on the westside of Jackson Avenue from Teibrook Avenue to Railroad Avenue.
They continued to take up the old pavement and lay the base materials for the new road.
The workmen also continued their work on some of the sidewalks and corners from Edward Avenue to Lewis Avenue on the westside of Jackson Avenue. Access to some of these avenues was closed due to this work. Residents had to find an alternate egress to Jackson Avenue and Jericho Turnpike.

The weather forecast for this week(mid-80's) in comparison to last week’s I am sure the construction crew will appreciate the lower temperatures provided by Mother Nature.
