RESIDENTS for a more beautiful Syosset held its annual flower planting and garden clean up this past Saturday morning, May 11th, at the Memorial Park Garden, located on the corner of Jackson Avenue and Underhill Boulevard, adjacent to the LIRR. Despite the inclement weather, members and volunteers pulled weeds, picked up trash and planted 15 flats of annuals, namely petunias, marigolds, and begonias to prepare the park for the annual Memorial Day ceremonies. The flowers were purchased through the donations of members of RESIDENTS. In addition, Meyer's Farms of Woodbury continues to support this group's efforts by generously donating flower flats to help make Syosset a little more beautiful. Memorial Park Garden is one of three gardens that RESIDENTS maintains in the Syosset Community, along with the Syosset Post Office and the Jackson Avenue Community Garden, opposite St. Edward's Church.
