Braves beat the Baldwin, 17-7, Wednesday in Nassau Class A semifinals.

boys lacrosse is headed to the Nassau County Class A championship game after beating the Baldwin Bruins, 17-7, Wednesday at Hofstra.

The Braves (13-4) got a quick lead in the first half, snagging 10 goals and allowing Baldwin just two scores.

The top scorer was Ryan Hunter, who got six goals past the Bruins goalie. John Diaz (3) and Andrew Keith (2) also scored. Through balancing the need to score with the need to protect the goal, the Braves walked away with the win.

The second-seeded Braves take on No. 1 Massapequa at Hofstra on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
