Delayed Openings at Syosset, St. Ed's

OLMA will open on time.

Syosset School District announced that all schools would have a two-hour delayed opening Monday.

Syosset, like many other districts on Long Island, announced a delay out of safety concerns for students.

St. Edward the Confessor School also announced on their website that school would have a two-hour delay. Nursery and pre-k classes are cancelled. Drop off will begin at 10:30 a.m. Faculty and staff will be on hand at the school on time for children who arrive early. There will be no before care.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy announced on their website that classes would be in session Monday, but did not announce a delay. They wrote:

OLMA realizes that bus transportation may be limited or unavailable for some of our students. If your daughter is unable to attend school due to transportation problems, please let us know tomorrow so that our attendance records may be noted accordingly. The safety of our students is our primary concern.
