Congregation Simchat HaLev Marches in Local Parade - We Meet at Variety School
For the the second year in a row, we will march in the Syosset Memorial Day Parade and we need your support. Last year, we were the only synagogue that participated abd although small in numbers we represented the Jewish people of Syosset and the sunrrounding areas. This year, we are receruiting Jewish people who may not be affilifated with a synagogue or who for whatever reason, are not be marching with their synagogue to join us at the parade. This year Memorial Day and the second day of Shavuot, a Time When We Remember those who have left this world occur on the same day. Rabbi Jay will be reciting the traditional Jewish memorial prayer said during Yizkor as part of the Memorial Day Rememberance. As we honor the men and women who serve our country, we remain those who have entered life eternal. We hope you will march with us and attend the brief prayer service at the end of the parade.
