Going Green on World Environment Day

Many in Syosset have gone green. Have you?

Tuesday is the 40th annual World Environment Day. Whether it is simply switching to energy efficient light bulbs or organizing campaigns for disaster preparation, people around the world will be working to better the planet.

Syosset is no different. Lawyers at work to get benefits for companies that "go green" in some way, has helped kids learn about and Robbins Lane Elementary students have begun trying to bring trashless snacks to school. The green movement has also gained attention as a way to save money, according to CNN Money, with things like solar panels, recycling, and energy efficient appliances.
