Brett Burian is a regular jack of all trades. He may be the co-captain of an undefeated boys volleyball team, but that is only a single line on his deep resumé. Burian, a senior, is president of Syosset High School's boys a cappella group and the treasurer of the Theater Arts Club. He is a recent recipient of the Scholar Artist Award for musical theater.
Burian's leadership skills can be seen in full effect on the volleyball court. Always barking out directions and words of encouragement, he keeps his team focused at all times. His efforts have paid off, too. Entering Tuesday's match with East Meadow, the Braves hadn't drop a single set this season.
