Hello and welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," our daily post which gives you five essential pieces of information that we think is worth knowing about. 

Happy hump day! Wednesday is here and the weekend is getting closer. Here is just five things to keep in mind for Wednesday:

  1. There was originally an scheduled in Syosset today by the group Educate New York State - it has been postponed due to "overwhelming anticipated numbers" of those expected to attend. Check back with Patch for the re-scheduled date. 
  2. - This meeting and discussion takes place at the The Woodlands in Woodbury, from 8 - 10 a.m.  The groups mission is to "create an integrative force among women leaders in health care, which inspires exchange of knowledge, new relationships, personal and professional growth, and community involvement."   3. at the starts at 10 a.m. Call the library at 516-921-7161 for more info. 
  4. Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera - Head back to the library at 2 p.m. Professor Mary Vahey will discuss the artist Rockwell and his use of photographs. 
  5. Photography Competition - This judged photography competition hosted by the Syosset Camera Club will be held at Haypath Community Park in Old Bethpage, in the community center. Visit http://syossetcc.org or call 516-681-6040 for more info.
