OLMA, Syosset Compete on 'The Challenge'

Syosset High School, Our Lady of Mercy Academy take on rivals on upcoming shows.

Syosset and Woodbury will be represented on MSG Varsity's upcoming season of The Challenge.

Team captain Jeremy Wolfe, Adam Rubinstein, Joshua Abraham, Shirley Kuang and alternate Andrew Lipman will compete on MSG Varsity's The Challenge against Village School of Great Neck.

The Challenge, hosted by Jared Cotter, will air Sunday on Cablevision's Optimum, channel 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Syosset will battle 31 schools from across Nassau County during the regional rounds. Winners of the rounds will head to the tri-state championship playoffs. Regional champions win $2,500 for their school. The tri-state champion team will win $10,000 for their school and $500 for each individual student.

On Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m., students from neighboring high school Our Lady of Mercy Academy will take on Davis Renov Stahler Yeshiva High School for Boys. Team members include captain Alanna Kane, Aria Vitale, Christina Johnson, Nicole Case, and Alternates Samantha Scaglione and Amy Abraham.
