St. Edward's Hosts Interfaith Veterans Day Ceremony
Catholic students joined by Jewish students from Schechter School of Long Island Monday to celebrate veterans.
Fourth graders from St. Edward the Confessor School were joined by students from the Schechter School of Long Island (located in Jericho) for a Catholic/Jewish inter-faith Veterans Day celebration.
Following the ceremony at the flag pole, all of the students met in the school cafeteria for smaller break-out sessions so they could ask each other questions.
It was an enriching experience for the students from both schools, and St. Edward the Confessor School has on-going plans to host more inter-faith meetings for other grades.
