Syosset PTA-STA Scholarship Available to Students

Scholarship provides $3,000 over a two year period.

The PTA-STA Scholarship is available to any Syosset High School senior planning to pursue any field of endeavor leading to a degree, certificate, or license in an accredited post high school program. The amount of the Scholarship is $3,000 over a two-year period. 

The Syosset Scholarship Fund Drive mailing has been sent to residents. The amount of funds raised determines the number of scholarships that are awarded this year. 

The following six Syosset seniors were awarded scholarships in June 2013:

William Chan, son of Ms. Mei Hui Lee–Cindy Kee, is planning to major in Bio-Chemistry at Northwestern University.

Michael Esswein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Esswein, is planning to major in Engineering at SUNY Buffalo.

Nicole Georghiou, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Georghiou, is attending SUNY Oneonta and is undecided on a major.

Paul Ngu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ngu, is planning to major in History and Economics at Bowdoin College.

Grant Roth, son of Howard and Annette Roth, is planning to major in Public Health and Communications at New York University.

Stephen Lee Skubina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Skubina, is planning to major in Biology at Brown University.
