The Syosset Central School District has proposed a $192,353,912 budget for 2011-12, an increase of 1.86 percent from last year. The total figure is the lowest percentage increase in 21 years, according to the administration.
Last year's budget passed with a vote of 2,714 for and 1,966 against. This year's voting is to take place on from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Syosset elementary schools.
The Budget Hearing is set for Monday, May 9 at 8 p.m., . Residents will have the opportunity to give their thoughts on the budget at the meeting.
