Syosset School District recognized its retirees and 25-year employees at an annual reception held Wednesday at Syosset High School.
Each retiree was introduced, with speeches delivered about contributions to the district. Members of the Board of Education distributed certificates to each recipient, "thanking them for their years of dedicated service to the students of Syosset," according to the school district's website.
Retirees included Diane Ardam, Elizabeth Von Bargen, Patricia Carter, Doris Caruso, Rosemary Dikeman, Harriet Dolgon, Kathleen Dougherty, Paula Goldberg, Dr. Sharyn Goodman, Laurie Guttenberg, Denise Koegel, Kenneth Kroog, Adeline Laviani, Stephen Massaro, Wendy Misa, Lorraine Polizzo, Nancy Prisco, Irene Regina, Richard Schaub, Theodore Scholl, Phyliss Solomon, Karen Stefanidis, Joanna Talamo, Linda Wahl and Jane Laura Zirkin. Silver anniversary recipients included Linda Blanchfield, Patricia Carter, Dominick Costa, Susan Dowd, Susan Geller, Stanley Kafel, Philip Kaiser, Dana Kaplan, Paula Kraus, Lisa Maniscalco, Kim Pritchard, Jeanine Qualliotine, Linda Sobolow, Karen White, Lisa Wiest and Carol Zwielich.
