VIDEO: OLMA Students Wear Pajamas for Cause

Our Lady of Mercy Academy students wore their comfortable pajamas to school on Tuesday as a reward for reaching their fundraising goal.

will hold its annual  on Saturday in honor of Mary Jo Lorello, a teacher and a coach at Mercy. Lorello passed away from lung cancer in July 2008.

The school holds this fundraiser in her name and all the money raised goes to the school to help fund academic, athletic and extracurricular activities. This year, the students hope to raise $50,000.

So far, $23,000 has been raised and to acknowledge the fundraising efforts by the students, the administration allowed the students to wear their pajamas instead of their uniforms.
