Voter's Guide: Syosset School Budget, Board Election

Syosset School District residents will vote on the district’s $213 million proposed budget for the 2014-15 school year on Tuesday.

The proposal calls for a 1.76 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.33 percent percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap.

School officials say the fiscal plan allows for continuation of the district’s educational and related programs.
