Boys Bowling: Syosset 2011 Preview

Outlook: Unlike some of the other programs at Syosset High School, the boys Bowling team is littered with experienced players. Both Kyle Ross and Jon Wright were all-county bowlers last season. With those two anchoring the squad, growing pains should be at a minimum early in the season.
Dean Strohmayer expects his team to battle all season with the likes of Farmingdale, Plainview, and Massapequa.
"We should do pretty well," said Strohmayer of his squads prospects. "We return our two best bowlers. I think we should do a little bit better this year than we did last year. Our two bowlers that we lost are two good bowlers, but these two (Graham and Birnholtz) are a little bit more consistent. I think we'll be better because of that."
