Chris Lubin Named ECC Player of the Week
The Syosset resident and N.Y.I.T graduate student has scored a hat trick in all three games this season.
NYIT graduate student and men's lacrosse star Chris Lubin, a graduate of , was recently named East Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week, the first Bears player to receive the honor this season.
The accolade for Lubin comes after the attackman helped NYIT to its first win of the season - a 16-5 triumph over Southern New Hampshire. Lubin scored six goals and dished out three assists for nine points in the victory. Of Lubin's 12 shots, seven were on goal for a .583 SOG%. In addition to that performance, Lubin has scored a hat trick in all three games thus far this season.
In three games this season, Lubin has scored 12 goals and dished out five assists for a total of 17 points. He scored three goals a piece in losses to Merrimack and Mercy College.

NYIT (1-2, 0-1 ECC) returns to action on Saturday, March 19 when it hosts Dowling in ECC action. Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at President’s Stadium.
