The Our Lady of Mercy Academy Mustangs basketball team travels to Holy Trinity Wednesday evening at 5:45 p.m. to play in the CHSAA quarterfinals.
The No. 7 Mustangs (4-10) face a tough task in No. 3 Trinity (9-5). Mercy was 0-2 against Trinity in the regular season - they fell to Trinity 56-45 back on Feb. 21 and 46-19 back on Dec. 10.
However, Mercy is coming off arguably their best win of the season, in the first round of the playoffs. That game was highlighted by a 22-9 third quarter for the Mustangs, including an impressive 17-2 run. Olivia Walsh lead Mercy with 16 points, while freshman Shannon Brady chipped in 14.

If Mercy can keep that momentum going, they stand a good chance to pull off the upset. Head over to Holy Trinity High School (98 Cherry Lane, Hicksville) to see if the girls will advance to the next round.
