SYAC Girls Softball Evaluation Nights

Registration Opens for SYAC Girls Softball for Spring 2012 Season

Registration for SYAC Girls' Softball's 2012 spring season now can be made online.

Hundreds of girls from Syosset, Woodbury and Jericho, in grades K through 9, play SYAC softball each spring.

To register and pay online, go to www.syacgs.org and select the appropriate league for your age group. Players who played in SYAC this past season and still have a registration number and password, can use it to register. If you are new to SYAC, follow the link to register for the first time.

In addition to registration, all players (except the youngest, K-1) must attend an evaluation for balanced team selection. All girls who register are placed on teams.

Evaluations are held at H.B. Thompson Middle School, all Thursday evenings from 7 to 9:30pm. The following evaluation dates are announced:

  • Pony League (grades 2-3): January 12
  • Junior League (grades 4-5): January 19
  • Senior League (grades 6-9): January 26

Parents are urged to bring daughters on the night corresponding to their age group. SYAC evaluators do the best job when working in a single age group. If you have more than one child in different age groups, SYAC will do its best to accommodate you.

A “last chance” evaluation date is Saturday, February 4, at H.B. Thompson Middle School, from 10:30am to 1:00pm for those who could not make any of the other dates.

Players must register to be evaluated, and you must be evaluated to participate in SYAC Girls Softball. You may register on evaluation nights, but registering and paying online saves time.
