Jan. 14: Sports and Film Screening

Hello and welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today" the Friday edition.

It's hard to believe it but the weekend is almost here! It's certainly been a long week with all the snow and commuting headaches - here's to hoping that the snow is done and over with until next winter!

Without further ado, here are just five things Syosset residents should keep in mind today and this weekend:

1. Sewanhaka West visits l to take on the Braves in a wrestling match at 5:00 p.m. Let's go Braves!
2. The heads to Massapequa to take on the Chiefs at 7 p.m.
3. The girls, on the other hand, also have a huge game against the Chiefs but on Saturday, when they host them at Syosset High School at 1:45 p.m. The girls are so be sure to come down to lend your support. 
4. The hosts the at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. All movies are open seating - first come, first served and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. The film is a comedy released in 2009 that stars Andy Garcia and Alan Arkin.
