Outlook: Syosset looks to have another strong season in Conference I-AA. Despite losing star goalkeeper and team captain Ciano they will return three goal-scoring seniors in Davies, Kennedy and Burrei. Three teams have been added to the newly realigned conference, so it is important that the Braves get off to a strong start. With the loss of Ciano there is currently a goalie battle being waged between a senior, junior and sophomore. Waxer is excited about his newcomers, but the flip side of that is that his team must avoid mental lapses. Syosset will open up with a non-conference showdown against Wantagh at home on Sept. 16.
