Day Three: To Juice or Not to Juice
I am lazy. That is the main reason I eat so poorly. I do not like to shop for, prep or cook food. Except for big parties and Passover Seders. juicer_and_fruitThe Clean Program for which I am preparing requires that I drink my breakfast and dinner, eating solid food only for lunch. I do not own a juicer; I’ve heard juicers take quite a bit of work to clean. Remember, I’m lazy. An easy way out is to go to the Clean website and order prepackaged, easy to make meal replacements. I was tempted. Actually, I ordered some. Argh! But if I’m going to truly get out of the Clean Program what I want – a healthier lifestyle – I can no longer take the lazy way out.Juicecarrot-apple-ginger So today, I ordered a juicer. A good one. And I am actually excited to make my first apple, strawberry, celery, carrot, hemp seed and almond butter breakfast. I also ordered a water pitcher that comes with a diffuser so I can flavor my water with cucumber or raspberries or lemon. Yum. Perhaps others can jump right in and start the program, but I am preparing. I am preparing my kitchen, and I am preparing my mind, which is now made up to be successful.
