Patch Picks: Memorial Day Weekend

Remember our heroes and celebrate at the same time.

Memorial Day weekend is coming up that means you have three days to do anything you want. Besides the typical backyard barbeque's and block parties, what is there to do? Here are some ideas:

 1. – This is a great place to go for fun with the whole family. There is a picnic area where you can barbeque some food as well as many different places to go play. The little kids can go play on the playground with three different jungle gyms to run around on. The basketball lovers can hang out by the hoops and others can go play on the paddle ball courts.

 2. Jones Beach is having their this weekend from the Bethpage Federal Credit Union. There is going to be the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor and the A-10 Thunderbolt II flying in the sky. The air show is both May 28 and May 29 from 10am to 3pm.

There is also a in Plainview-Old Bethpage. It’s on Old Country Road to Plainview Community Park. Come and pay respect to the fallen soldiers and the living ones who fight for our country. The parade starts 9:30 AM.
