Syosset FD to Scoop Ice Cream for Good Cause

April 28 event at Baskin-Robbins will feature 31-cent scoops.

Members of the Syosset Fire Department will once again participate in the Baskin-Robbins annual "31 Cent Scoop Night" on Wednesday, April 28 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Baskin-Robbins located at 59 Jackson Ave. in Syosset. Scoop Night has been designed to raise fire safety awareness, and as part of the fun, local residents are welcome to stop by Baskin-Robbins and enjoy a scoop of their favorite ice cream for just 31 cents to help raise funds for firefighter safety programs.

The delicious ice-cream-eating program is a partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) to support America's firefighters and the cause of fire safety. The Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation will donate $100,000 to the non-profit organization.

The Syosset firefighters will be equipped with their bunker pants, helmets and scoops to serve ice cream to customers. They will also bring along a fire engine, and will offer fire safety advice and safety giveaways.

31 Cent Scoop Night will be held at Baskin-Robbins locations across the country to honor America's firefighters. For more information, visit:
