I'm a marketing copywriter by day, and a freelance writer every chance I get. Born and raised in Bethpage, I have spent virtually my entire life on Long Island, minus nearly a year in Australia and other travels that have taken me across the USA and to 20 or so countries on 5 of the 7 continents. Having first moved to Huntington 17 years ago, I'm now happily settled in Huntington Station with my wife, 2 daughters, 4 cats and dog. In a close decision, I chose Hofstra University over the Journalism program at St. John's. After graduating in 1987 with a B.A. in English, I spent twenty-plus years in the corporate world – first in book publishing, then print purchasing. Several years ago, I opted to be a stay-at-home (and sometimes work-at-home) dad while in pursuit of a career that would allow me to write AND support my family. For the past three years I've been a marketing copywriter for a small Long Island-based company.
For as long as I can remember, I was always writing something – just for fun. I have a boatload of song lyrics not yet sung, short stories never published and a couple of would-be novels awaiting completion. As a freelance writer, I enjoy crafting stories that someone besides me will actually get to read!
