Update: School Cancellations, Closures As Snowstorm Closes In
Snowstorm Hercules expected to hit Long Island Thursday afternoon.
Update, Thurs. 5:22 p.m.
Syosset schools will be CLOSED on Friday and all after school activities cancelled.

All afternoon and evening activities in the Syosset School District are cancelled for Jan. 2, with the exception of the SCOPE program. As of now, school is still on for Friday.
St. Edwards School has cancelled all after school activities for Jan. 2 and will be closed on Friday in anticipation of snow.
Snowstorm Hercules is expected to bring up to 10 inches of snow to Long Island by Friday. Snowfall is expected to start by 4 p.m.
