A crash on Southwoods Road has caused road closures and diverted traffic.
The accident occurred at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday on Southwoods Road just north of Syosset-Woodbury Road, confirmed Nassau County Police.
Officers said emergency crews, police, and ambulances were called to the location for a crash involving two cars. Syosset Fire Department was also called to the scene, according to their website.
An unknown amount of people were injured in the crash, but several ambulances were present at the scene. A dark-colored minivan was visibly damage behind emergency vehicles.
Responders were redirecting traffic away from the scene as emergency crews tended to those involved and helped secure the scene.
