As much of a Moe's fan as I wasn't, they seemed to be doing pretty well in Woodbury. They were also good guys who contributed a good deal to the community. I was not a customer, but I'm sorry and surprised to see they've gone.

Definitely Moe's, even though that's considered Woodbury. There were always people in there. Sad to see that gone!

Moe's always contributed to local fundraisers and was always busy. Surprised they shut. Also VERY much miss the Rite-Aid on Jackson Avenue.

My guess is they knew they couldn't survive with a brand new Chipotle opening a short distance away. I know you guys will love Chipotle, but I hope they are as active in the community as Moe's was.

Moe's chose the wrong location -- too upscale -- and I'm sure the rent was too high for the amount of revenues they generated.

Rite Aid was a surprise to me, as well. However, even though I knew all the workers by name and vice versa, I never felt quite "right" in that store. Something about the scattered arrangement of the aisles always threw me out of whack, and the lack of windows made the place feel unsafe.
Anyway, you just KNEW there wasn't enough room in this small town for three drug stores, didn't ya?

Rite Aid as a company has been in dissaray for years in terms of overall performance. They've been closing underperforming stores for years throughout the country and months before closing the Syosset store they closed the larger Plainview location.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the whole chain shut down at some point, so I wasn't shocked that the Syosset store closed.

location-wise Rite-Aid was a loss in terms of convenience.

For instance, critical thinking is not about finding fault with people who make noise by using leafRead More blowers, but about an in-depth thinking of goals and values we will achieve by limiting their use. People could earn more quality life and peace of mind by having quiet time in the early morning and the late evening. The value of mental peace is regarded crucial in our life. Critical thinking gives us a process of thinking to get into the depth of the problem. It begins with an analysis of the situation (structure, background, or setting), in which the information of when, where, and who is identified. The information may help set up seasonal differences in restricting hours of leaf blower operation. Further thinking will lead critical thinkers to note the implication of the new ordinance to the business of licensed landscapers. Also, critical thinkers may think about the development of a soundproof leaf blowing machine. Critical thinking helps us to increase and share our common values, rather than tries to find faults with people who make problems.
