Winter storm "Nemo" will hit with blizzard conditions Friday and Syosset is quickly responding with closures and schedule changes.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy announced they would be closing their doors at 12 p.m. on Friday for the storm. Patch will continue updating with other closures, delays, and early dismissals.
Kids by the Bunch in Syosset announced they would have an early dismissal at 2 p.m., according to News 12.
Syosset Library posted the following schedule changes on their website:
- The Author visit with Ellen Feldman scheduled for Friday has been rescheduled to Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
- The YA Open Mike Night for has been cancelled and will be rescheduled to a date to be announced.
- The Chess Workshop for children scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled to Feb. 16.
- The Jimmy Moore concert scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled for the summer.

Syosset School District has cancelled all after school activities except for the SCOPE program.
