1. Thursday will be a chilly and cloudy November day. Temperatures will reach 47 degrees so grab a scarf.

2. Town of Oyster Bay holds their zoning board of appeals at 7 p.m. at Town Hall North.

3. The 2012 Long Island Tax Professionals Symposium is Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. Check event details here.

4. The Syosset Chamber of Commerce holds their monthly meeting at 516 Americana Kitchen & Bar at 8 a.m. Bring $10 for food.

5. School reminders:

Our Lady of Mercy Academy hosts a blood drive Thursday.
Syosset middle schools have a half day Thursday. The middle schools will host PTSA meetings at 7:45 p.m.
Syosset High School performs their fall show at 7 p.m.
