As Syosset recovers from the devastation that was Hurricane Sandy, residents are coming out of their homes and stocking up on all the items they forgot.
Electricity has been a main piece of everyday life that residents are missing. Those with internet service on their phones tweeted to LIPA and sent messages out on Facebook asking when crews would head their way. As of Wednesday morning, thousands remained without power, sending residents to coffee and pizza places to charge their devices.
