Sept. 25: Yom Kippur Begins

A rundown of events and reminders for Tuesday in Syosset and Woodbury.

1. Yom Kippur, the completion of the Hebrew high holy days, begins at sundown on Tuesday. Sundown will come at about 6:49 p.m.

3. Syosset Library will close at 5 p.m. to honor Yom Kippur.

4. St. Edward the Confessor eighth graders and their parents will have a confirmation meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Family Room.
