Syosset business leaders gather for their monthly meeting Thursday.
The Syosset Chamber of Commerce's general meeting will be held at Rachel's Cafe from 8-11 a.m.
Members are asked to bring $10 for breakfast. Registration is requested.
Thursday's topic of conversation will be tax planning for closely held businesses and their owners.
This month's speaker will be Richard M. Schon, CPA, MST. Schon has over 25 years of diverse experience in public accounting specializing in the areas of real estate development, manufacturing, and closely held businesses with an emphasis on taxation, estate planning, and wealth preservation, according to the Chamber website.
Schon has also served on the State and Local Tax Committee and the Closely Held & S Corporation Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, of which he is a member, wrote the Chamber.
