Syosset LIRR Weekend Service Reduced
Saturday service to be reduced for switch replacement work.
MTA announced that service to the Syosset LIRR and throughout the Port Jefferson line will be reduced this Saturday while crews work on switch replacement.
In Syosset, trains will stop every hour rather than every half hour. The reduced service will last between 2:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Additionally, some eastbound customers traveling to Syosset from New Hyde Park and Merillon Avenue stations will have require transfer at Hicksville to continue their travel. Westbound customers from Syosset headed to Westbury and Merillon Avenue stations will transfer at Hicksville.
