Services Set for Lucy Amistadi

Former Syosset resident was 90.

Funeral services are set for Saturday for Lucy Amistadi, 90.

The former Syosset resident died Friday at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Mass.

Born in 1922 and raised in Brooklyn, Lucy graduated from Erasmus Hall in 1940 and attended St. John College.

She was an executive assistant in the insurance industry before becoming a homemaker and devoting her life to her loved ones. After raising her children, she took her love of history to Old Bethpage Village and Muttontown Nature Preserve to volunteer. Lucy also loved knitting, crocheting, and Colonial rug hooking, creating award-winning pieces.

Lucy leaves behind a son Henry, daughter Lynn, daughter-in-law Jessica, son-in-law Garrett, grandchildren Henry, Cassi, and Matthew, sister Maria, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Irene Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle at 11 a.m. She will be buried at Green Cemetery in Carlisle.

Contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
