Cops: Car Stolen in Syosset

Cars stolen in Syosset, Farmingdale, Hicksville; several other break-ins reported.

Three cars were stolen and several others burglarized within one week in the Second Precinct, cops said.

According to Nassau County Police, cars in Syosset, Farmingdale, and Hicksville were stolen. Also reported were five other car break-ins in Hicksville, Bethpage, and North Massapequa.

In Syosset, a car was stolen on Whitman Avenue at about 7 a.m., according to police.

In North Massapequa, two similar car break-ins were reported within hours of one another on North Syracuse Avenue.

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes: 

  • April 4: Stolen car: Whitman Avenue, Syosset.
  • April 5: Grand larceny; Dakota Street, Hicksville; laptop, iPod stolen from car.
  • April 6: Grand Larceny; Sportime, Bethpage; Coach pocketbook, wallet stolen from car.
  • April 7: Stolen car; Rhonda Lane Farmingdale.
  • April 7: Petit larceny; North Syracuse Avenue, North Massapequa; GPS stolen from car.
  • April 7: Petit larceny; North Syracuse Avenue, North Massapequa; cash, glasses stolen from car.
  • April 8: Petit larceny; Acres Lane, Hicksville; GPS stolen from car.
  • April 9: Stolen car; Cherry Lane, Hicksville.
