Cops: Cash Registers Targeted in Burglaries
Seven burglaries reported near Syosset last week, police report.
Four communities near Syosset reported burglaries last week, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Westbury, Bethpage, Hicksville, and Farmingdale were victimized in burglaries last week.
In four separate incidents, burglars broke into or stole from cash registers in Hicksville and Bethpage, reported cops. Old Country Road and Broadway in Hicksville were targeted in three of those incidents, police said.

The Second Precinct reported the following incidents:
- June 11: Burglary; Glen Road, Westbury; TV, laptop stolen from home.
- June 11: Burglary; Wantagh Avenue, Bethpage; cash stolen from register.
- June 13: Burglary; Peachtree Lane, Hicksville; cash, alarm wire, copper stolen from home.
- June 14: Burglary; Old Country Road, Hicksville; cash stolen from register.
- June 16: Burglary; Broadway, Hicksville; cash stolen from register.
- June 17: Burglary; Northwest Drive, Farmingdale; cash reported missing.
- June 17: Burglary; Old Country Road, Hicksville; cash stolen from register.
