Cops: Tires Slashed, Windows Broken Nearby

Five cars damaged in Second Precinct, police report.

Tires were slashed and windows broken on five cars in the Syosset area, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said that cars in Hicksville, Farmingdale, Levittown and Bayville were reportedly keyed and had windows broken.

In Bayville, a car owner reported finding their tires slashed overnight, cops said. According to reports, the incident happened on 14th Street between 11:10 p.m. July 12 and 11 a.m. July 13.

The Second Precinct reported the following incidents:

  • July 10: Criminal mischief; Dartmouth Drive, Hicksville; window broken on car.
  • July 11: Criminal mischief; Met Life Insurance, Farmingdale; car keyed.
  • July 12: Criminal mischief; Island Trees High School, Levittown; side view mirrors broken on car.
  • July 13: Criminal mischief; Herzog Place, Hicksville; two left tires cut on car.
  • July 13: Criminal mischief; 14th Street, Bayville; tires slashed on car.
