Crime Report: Country Club Thefts

Area country clubs report thefts, rear door entry burglaries back on the radar.

 

Country clubs and hotels in the area reported crimes ranging from cell phone theft and safe break-ins to smashed cars.

Rear door entry burglaries were reported again in the neighborhood, .

The Second Precinct reported the following crimes:

  • Jan. 27: Petit larceny; Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury; cell phone stolen
  • Jan. 30: Petit larceny; Jericho Turnpike, Syosset; costume jewelry stolen
  • Feb. 1: Grand larceny; Fox Hollow Inn, Woodbury; rings stolen from safe
  • Feb. 2: Grand larceny; Roxbury Ave, Plainview; tires and rims stolen from auto
  • Feb. 2: Grand larceny; The Preserve apartments, Woodbury; car stolen
  • Feb. 2: Grand larceny; Meadow Lane, Syosset; fraudulent activity
  • Feb. 2: Burglary; Tri Wire Engineering, Plainview; keys, tools, electronics stolen.
  • Feb. 2: Criminal mischief; , Plainview; car smashed, leather tote bag

  • Feb. 3: Burglary; Albert Ave, Syosset; rear door entry, unknown loss
  • Feb. 3: Criminal mischief; Randy Lane, Plainview; paint thrown on car
  • Feb. 5: Grand larceny; Main Pkway, Plainview; tires and rims stolen from car
  • Feb. 6: Burglary; North Street, Locust Valley; rear door entry with cash,
  • watches, ring, computer stolen
