Update: None Hurt in Gas Main Breach

Syosset Fire Department responded to morning gas main break.

Syosset Fire Department responded to a gas main break at 11:47 a.m. on Berry Hill Road Wednesday.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Pete Silver, a construction crew was digging a hole outside when they ruptured a natural gas line.

National Grid crews were called to the scene to secure the line and prevent any further danger.

No injuries were reported.

According to Silver, the damage was thankfully minimal and crews were able to quickly repair the breach.
