Two former Woodbury Country Club waitresses filed a class-action suit Tuesday against their former employer for withholding tips from staff. Lisa Macaluso and Christina Pica say the caterer failed to pay as many as 60 current and former staffers the 20 percent mandatory gratuity it collected from patrons.

An SUV crashed into a restaurant in Syosset Thursday morning, according to Nassau County Police.

Syosset Fire Department and second precinct officers responded to a call at 10:29 a.m. Thursday that a car had crashed into El Parral, reported police. The building suffered minor structural damage to the storefront but no injuries were reported.

Two main roads near Syosset have been ranked in the top deadliest for Long Island pedestrians, according to a new study. The Tri-State Transportation Campaign ranked Hempstead Turnpike first as the deadliest in Nassau County, while Jericho Turnpike was the second deadliest in Suffolk.

Syosset has voted overwhelmingly for where they like to wolf down (pun intended) wings and Guinness.
