Is airplane noise a pain in Syosset or Woodbury?

Calling it "common sense," four politicians gathered to ask the Port Authority to set up a committee addressing noise pollution from airplanes.

U.S. Sens. Charles Schumer, D-NY, and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, as well as U.S. Reps. Grace Meng, D-Flushing, and Steve Israel, D-Huntington, sent a joint letter to PATH Executive Director Patrick Foye, asking them to establish a committee to handle all concerns about airplane noise for city residents.
